Dr. Norman Marcus, director of muscle pain research at New York Univerity’s School of Medicine, has this to say about stress and tension:  “These are the major causes of back and neck pain,” he explains.  “When you’re tense, anxious, fearful or angry, your back, shoulder and neck muscles contract.  Prolonged contraction of muscles as a result of stress and tension can cause pain sever enough to impair you.”  Take the time to remind your friends and family that massage therapy can help them deal with pain.

Today it is -1 outside!  But it doesn’t stop there, it feels like it is -25 due to the wind gusting at 37 mph.  We do have vacationers coming in this afternoon, they are really excited about our infrared sauna to warm up.  Seems like the locals are huddled next to their fires until this storm passes.

We are so happy to have Wafaa aboard!  She specializes in skincare.  A facial from her is an unbelievably thorough and relaxing treatment.  She has so much knowledge about the skin and how to keep it looking young and vibrant.  Come in and request Wafaa for your next facial!

There have been soooo many changes both at Riverspointe Spa, and in general in Estes Park!  Estes Park itself is evolving into a better, more beautiful mountain town every day.  Just a few weeks until the first planting of flowers downtown happens, the downtown stores are going to get face-lifts this year and next, and people are discovering that Estes Park is a very nice place to visit in the Winter months.  Snowshoeing trips have become more and more popular with our Front Range visitors, and locals alike.  If you want to take the adventure a step farther – snowshoe at night, under a full moon.  It’s a rare kind of peace and quiet, being high up in the mountains, under full moonlight reflecting off of the snow – you hardly need a headlamp!  An added bonus:  not many people to navigate around at night! 

Our staff has changed as well – and we are expanding our talented Staff this summer.
