We’ve been open for over a month now, and what an exciting ride these past few months have been! Riverspointe has gone from being a beautiful idea – an open space with endless possibility – and has evolved and metamorphed into something bigger and more complete than anything we had ever imagined!
Riverspointe Spa had been an embroyo since January of 2006. The building the spa is currently in was custom built to be a spa in March of ’06, and once-upon-a-time was actually a gas station. Our spa now has 4 treatment rooms, a large reception and retail area, a cozy relaxation area, and Men’s and Women’s locker rooms.
The spa had it’s biggest growth spurt, ironically, when Melissa and I were in Thailand for 5 weeks. Being all the way around the world may not seem like the most opportune time to begin a business, but looking back, it was the perfect place. We were on an island together in a sense – away from reality – but alone with our ideas, and ideals. We knew we had a very busy springtime ahead of us when we returned to Colorado, but the prospect of the creating a healing space all our own has been more than enough motivation to keep us trekking along! Melissa has known for over 6 years that she would be starting a spa – it is her calling, her passion, and most definitely her talent to CREATE, and to bring light, and love into her work. For me, as with most things in my life, Riverspointe has been serendipitous! Something previously unimagined, unplanned, but unmistakeably right and good! The space we created has taken on it’s own energy – it’s own equilibrium. It was been incredible how people have come into our lives, and have become involved with the planning and creation of the spa at exactly the right time and place. This space has been not only the answer to our prayers, but to many many other people in the Estes Park community as well. Step in the door and you can literally feel it! We are so thankful for those who have supported, encouraged, and donated their time and resources to help Riverspointe come to fruition.
